This year has brought a lot of great new artists, concepts, and genres into my sphere of sound. One of my favorite discoveries has been Maga Bo... word of his style and travels collecting sounds from Europe, Africa and his home regions of Brazil peaked my interest. I was graced with good timing in January and was able to meet up with him on a one day stopover in SF. He's constantly on the move connecting and collecting and has a lot of great projects with some amazing artists, known and unknown, coming out this year. The interview was done upstairs at Rickshaw on one of the coldest days of the year so you can hear our jackets rustling. You also get a taste of the sound check below giving an idea of what came later on in the evening. This assembly starts out with a section from a mix that Bo did live on the Radio in Senegal.
