Last spring the Late Severa Wires did a live set on KZSU with live instrumentation combined with digital and sample based hardware and some circuit bending toys to produce crazy rich sound textures and abstractions in abundance. The basic ensemble consisted of Ultraviolet (turntables), Yozo Suzuki-guitar, Mike Rowland-cymbals and metal objects, and Carlos Santisevan-bass. The High Mayhem label and art collective is one of the best executions of artistic collaboration I have seen.
